Kuria Kimani, Molo Member of Parliament has threatened to sue a contractor working on the Molo-Kibunja road.
According to the lawmaker, the contractor is 'lazy and slow' who deserves to be taken to court.
Kimani accused the contactor for taking too long to complete the 4 kilometre stretch of the road.
“I am going to organize for a meeting between the residents and the contractor at the end of this month to chat the way forward before I take a legal action. The contractor must promise to work quickly and finish the road in time or he faces suit,” he said.
He said in the future, lazy and slow contractors will not be considered for projects.
“Contracts will not be given to lazy people who are only interested in money. Our people want projects finished in time especially roads to ease transport,” he stated.
Kimani urged CDF committee when they will be considering contractors to be given contracts to ensure the contractors have a good working record and have completed previous contracts given to them.
