Molo residents have blamed President Uhuru Kenyatta for releasing petty offenders during this years Mashujaa Day.
This, according to residents, has led to an upsurge of crime in Molo, Elburgon and other environs of Nakuru county.
“Immediately offenders were released, we started having incidents of crimes. Now as we speak, rapists, burglars and attack gangs are all over. And we can connect the dots,” Ephraim Maina, a bodaboda rider said.
The angry residents were speaking after a Form Four girl was abducted Thursday morning and gang raped by a gang of three.
The incident, at Tayari village, was condemned by residents.
Amos Kieheri, a community leader, said petty offenders released should be traced by Nyumba Kumi officials to ascertain their ways after release.
