The road has been undergoing grading and gravelling to improve transportation in the rural area.

The residents said they have for years suffered during the rainy season after the road was rendered impassable.

"When it rained the road was impassable, no vehicle would access this route. We will not worry anymore when the rains come," said Samwel Waithaka.

They said the road will facilitate easy transportation in the area.

"Most of us are farmers, we have potatoes, cabbages, carrots and other products to take to the market. The road will ensure our produces do not spoil in the shambas," added Tabitha Njeri.

Molo MP Jacob Macharia who visited the area hailed the move by the county and pledged to support the county government in its endevour to deliver services to his people.

The road is part of the 5000Kms of roads set for upgrade by the county.
