Residents of Kenyatta estate in Molo town are raising concern over a dumping site located next to the estate.
The residents claim that the site is generating bad odour making the place hard to live in.
"There is a foul smell coming from the site, it's stinking so bad that we feel so uncomfortable, we are not proud of living here anymore," said Milka Muthoni.
The residents fear that the dumpsite may have adverse effects in the future if something is not done about it.
"Our children who like playing there while on their way to school may contact diseases," added Kimani Njeru.
The dumpsite which is used by Molo town council has expanded to the nearby household prompting residents to raise alarm over its effects.
They are now calling on Molo town council to identify an alternative site far away from the households.
