Police at Sachang'wan Molo, Nakuru county are holding a woman suspected of throwing into a pit latrine a foetus she aborted.

Assistant county commissioner Peter Mutiso confirmed the incident and assured that the woman will face murder charges in court. 

Mutiso said the woman was aided by a friend who is yet to be identified.

He warned women against abortion saying it is against the law.

"Abortion is same as murder and punishable by law. Women should desist from such acts to avoid being in the wrong side of the law. In this case, police are investigating the matter before the woman will be arraigned in court", Mutiso said.
