A 31-year-old man committed suicide in Turi Molo on Thursday and left behind a suicide note detailing why he had decided to hang himself.
Geoffrey Omariba, in his long suicide note, said he had found it unbearable to live as the society was chiding him.
"They laugh at me every time I pass by and I don't know why everyone hates me. I have been told to marry and no girl accepts me," he said in the note.
The deceased said although he was a bhang smoker, his mother should not think the drug pushed him to take the action.
"Many people smoke bhang here and are still good," he said.
His death comes a few weeks after a class six boy in the same location committee suicide.
Residents expressed shock following increased cases of suicide blaming it on drug abuse, illicit brews and frustrations among youths.
David Ngaruiya a member of clergy called for interdenominational prayers and counseling in Turi location.
Area chief Jane wangui said family disputes, stress and drugs were to blame.
