Water and Sanitation Cabinet Secretary, Simon Chelugui has warned that Mombasa County is at risk of having a big water supply challenge.

Mr. Chelugui was speaking on Thursday at the First Kenya National Dam conference that was held at Flamingo Beach Resort and Spa, in Mombasa, where he said that if the National Water Conservation and Corporation is not funded to construct another dam, there will be no water in Mombasa County

"It is a shock, this is something that should concern all of us. It is critical and must be factored in our deliberations," said the Cabinet Secretary

The Water and Sanitation Cabinet Secretary, Mr. Chelugui, finally assured Mombasa County residents that National Government is the process of putting up measures to address the water shortage

Mr. Chelugui also assured tourists and tourism in general, that everything is taken seriously to ensure the issue of water shortage is addressed in time.

"We take the issue seriously because of tourism," added the Cabinet Secretary, Mr. Chelugui

The Kenya National Dam Conference is being held by Conservation and Pipeline Corporation (NWCPC) at Flamingo Beach Resort and Spa located in North Coast, Mombasa County - Kenya.
