A number of bus operators from Mombasa County have been nominated for this year’s edition of Nganya Awards.
Modern Coast and Spanish are set to battle it out against giant names in the transport industry such as Easy Coach, Transline and Guardian among others, in the Best Upcountry Bus category.
The Best Coast Bus catergory has attracted different companies from this part of the nation including, Tahmeed, Buscar, Modern Coast, Mash, Dreamline and Simba.
These companies are looking forward to stripping Spanish coach of the award that they have held since 2013.
The online voting process started sometime back and will close on December 1, 2016 before the winner is declared on December 3, in an event that will go down at the Kenyatta International conference Center( KICC).
This year’s edition of the awards has been organized by Grip Ventures in partnership with different stakeholders working in the public transport industry.
The competition is a big boost for the transport sector since it will motivate different companies to improve their services with the hope of winning an award in the future.
Bus operators in the Coast region have made traveling not only easier but also affordable.
Nganya Awards have played an immense role in promoting public sector transport.
The awards were last held in 2013.
