Police have launched a manhunt for killers of a renowned business man  reportedly shot and killed in Kiembeni estate, Kisauni, Mombasa.

While confirming the incidence that occurred on Tuesday, Kisauni Deputy OCPD Boss Walter Abondo said 30-year-old Timothy Muthui was shot dead by armed robbers at around 10pm outside his house.

The police boss noted that the assailants also made away with an unknown amount of money after killing the deceased.

“He was pronounced dead after he was rushed to Joshua health center in Mtambo road in Kisauni. He was shot twice on the left shoulder,” said the police boss.

Meanwhile the police boss assured the people of Kiembeni and Kisauni area that Police had heard their heartfelt cry and would do everything in its power to ensure justice prevailed.

Mr Abondo further appealed to the public to assist police apprehend the criminals and further urged anyone with evidence leading to the arrest of the culprits to report to the nearest police station.
