Mombasa County deputy governor William Kingi led top NASA leadership in Mombasa at a rally at Bangaladesh grounds in Jomvu Constituency.

They carried with a message of hope and resilience to their people who he said, had to endure a lot of economic, emotional and physical pain as the country struggles to get back on its feet "after the retrogressive and disjointed Jubilee government decided to subvert the will of the people with the collusion of IEBC."

According to him, the people of Mombasa voted overwhelmingly for NASA and would upon the confirmation of the fresh presidential election date, once again cast their votes for the NASA leader Odinga.

"Under the leadership of Hassan Ali Joho we have reinvigorated and refined the quest for emancipation of the coastal people from the venomous grip of the oppressive Jubilee government," said Kingi, Saturday.

"The emancipation of our people is only possible through credible and verifiable elections. We believe the IEBC as currently constituted cannot deliver free and fair elections and as such support the proposed reforms and urge our people to come out in their numbers on Monday and join us as we hold peaceful demonstrations against the IEBC," he added.
