Mombasa residents have kicked off anti-IEBC protests demanding the removal of IEBC CEO Ezra Chiloba and other officials accused of bungling the August 8 polls.

The demonstrators who were carrying placards and banners written 'Chiloba must go’ marched peacefully to the IEBC offices in the county.

There is heavy police presence in Mombasa Town.

NASA supporters also held protests in Kisumu, Kakamega and Migori counties, where police are said to be engaging the demonstrators in running battles.

National Super Alliance (NASA) leader Raila Odinga has maintained there will be no repeat elections on October 26 if their demands are not met.

He noted the demos will be held every Monday and Friday until Chiloba and other IEBC officials are ejected from office.
