Addressing residents at the Wild Waters Hotel on Wednesday afternoon, the leaders led by Mombasa Governor Hassan Joho said the two are supposed to act as role models to the youths, adding that exchanging blows in public just shows how 'primitive' they are.

"As leader sometimes we tend to disagree in a number of issues but fighting each other is always a big no. Leaders should uphold the morals of the society,” said the governor.

Addressing the same crowd, Kisauni Member of Parliament Rashid Bedzimba urged the leaders to convert their physical energy into serving citizens, noting wisdom is needed in cases where leaders differ.

"When Sonko came to Mombasa earlier in the year he had a disagreement with Governor Joho but our governor in his own wisdom found a better way of dealing with the matter instead of engaging in a public fight,” said the legislature.
