Likoni police officers have arrested Timbwani MCA Tom Ogalo for allegedly causing chaos at the Independent Electoral and Boundaries Commission (IEBC) offices.
Confirming the Friday arrest, Likoni police chief Willy Simba said the MCA stormed the IEBC offices with a group of youths.
According to Baraka FM, the police said that Mr Ogalo had earlier ferried criminal gangs to the IEBC offices in Likoni trying to eject the officials from their offices.
Mr Simba said the motive behind the actions of the politicians who is in police custody are not yet know but investigations into the incident have been launched.
The police said the group of youth that accompanied the politician managed to escape after seeing the officers.
“We are interrogating him following chaos he caused at IEBC offices in Likoni, he is currently being questioned and as soon as investigations are over we will communicate,” said Mr Simba as quoted by Baraka FM.
The MCA lost the ODM ticket for Timbwani seat during the recent nominations and he opted to vie as an independent candidate.
