The County government of Mombasa has pledged to seek a sustainable partnership with Guangdong New South Group, a health organization based in Guangzouh, China.
This is after the Deputy Governor Dr William Kingi toured the country last week, accompanied by other County officials.
They represented the County and engaged delegates at the official opening of the 3rd Forum on China Africa Local Government Cooperation in Beijing, China on May 8.
The forum brought together several local and National government leaders across the world and offered a critical platform for discussing the prospects and potential of the African economies.
This years forum is themed "Poverty Alleviation and Sustainable Development".
Kingi said the partnership would help Mombasa get rid of Malaria pandemic in line with Governor Ali Hassan Joho's promise to the people.
The Group, Kingi said has had successes in eliminating Malaria in various parts of the province.
"Malaria claims 445,000 lives in more than 216 Million reported cases annually, with 80% of the being from Africa and we shall be on the forefront in fighting this menace and other related diseases," he said.
