Police officers in Mombasa have arrested an invigilator over exam cheating claims in the ongoing Kenya Certificate of Primary education (KCPE) examinations.
Jackline Analo, is alleged to have opened all the three papers scheduled for the day with the intention of leaking them to candidates at Mary Joy Academy in Bombolulu, Mombasa.
According to Baraka FM, the suspect was instructed to opened the Maths papers, but also opened the English grammar and English composition papers, which were scheduled to be done later on in the day.
Confirming the incident, Kisauni OCPD Richard Ngatia said the suspect is being held at the station to help the officers iwith investigations.
“We are holding one suspect of Mary Joy academy over exam irregularities, the investigations are underway as we are talking now,” Said Ngatia, as quoted by Baraka Fm.
Ngatia warned against exam cheating, saying stern action will be taken against those found culpable.
