A section of Mombasa professionals has urged Kenyans to embrace peace and dialogue.Addressing journalists in Mombasa on Wednesday, the professionals said elections have come and gone, adding that it was time for Kenyans to move on with their lives.Charles Ndung’u, said they have launched a group dubbed Resume, to counter the opposition's Resist campaign and calls for boycott on selected products and services.“With the swearing in of President Uhuru Kenyatta on Tuesday for a final second term, the prolonged campaign and election process are now over,” said Ndung’u.Ndung’u said Kenyans should shun ethnic divisions and come together to build a prosperous nation for all.He said opposition leader Raila Odinga should accept the will of Kenyans who voted in the October 26 repeat presidential poll instead of maintaining that he does not recognise Uhuru’s presidency.“It is not the time to antagonise but time to embrace peace and dialogue for the sake of future generations,” he said.Ndung’u said since Rail boycotted the presidential rematch, he should not hold the country hostage. On his part, Sammy King’ori said Raila should behave as a statesman and work towards building bridges among the different communities in the country. He asked Raila not to accept being sworn in on December 12, saying the move was potentially risky and would portray him as a power-hungry politician with no regard for the rule of law.The group also asked Kenyans to ignore the product boycott calls as the move will further hurt the economy which has already taken a beating from the prolonged political season. The professionals urged Kenyans not to boycott any products in a bid to improve the economy.
