A junior team of taekwondo players from Likoni paid a courtesy call to the Department of Youth, Gender, Sports and Cultural Affairs.
This team recently participated and won in a regional junior tournament in Rwanda.
They were presenting presented their trophies to CeC Munywoki Kyalo on behalf of Mombasa County.
The team will be traveling to Korea in August to represent Mombasa County and Kenya at large.
Kyalo reiterated his department's commitment to supporting and developing all sports disciplines with representation in Mombasa County and congratulated the team on its achievements.
His sentiments were echoed by Moses Oindo, Chair of the Youth, Gender, Sports and Cultural Affairs Committee in the Mombasa County Assembly, and MCA Mwaka Mulundonda of Timbwani Ward.
