Mombasa Deputy Governor Dr William Kingi on Thursday held a delegation from Telcom Kenya led by Kris Senanu the Head of Enterprise Division.
Their discussion revolved around how to enhance connectivity and coverage of the network within the county and further deliberated on possible partnerships to promote ICT as an alternative source of income to our youths.
He noted that the county government of Mombasa was committed to the digitalization of the society through IT in line with a vision for a fully functional smart city by 2035.
"Players in the telecommunications industry occupy a very integral part in the realization of this space," said Kingi.
"We shall create more avenues for strategic partnerships with the private sector in improving the livelihoods of our people," he added.
