Lawyer Cliff Ombeta appeared before a Mombasa Court, Monday, to represent his clients, linked to drug trafficking.
Ombeta told the Court, that his clients Baktash Akasha, Gulam Hussein, Ibrahim Akasha, and Vijay Goswami were missing, and that there was a possibility the government could have arrested them.
Ibrahim and Baktash are sons of the slain Mombasa drug baron Ibrahim Akasha, while two others were foreigners accused of working with him.
The lawyer told the Court his clients were allegedly arrested for harbouring two 'dangerous' South Africans who have a container believed to be carrying illegal products, in Mombasa, and was yet to be cleared.
However, Principal Prosecution Counsel Jami Yamina refuted Ombeta's allegations, saying the government was not aware of the whereabouts of the three.
He asked Mombasa Chief Magistrate Julius Nang'ea to issue warrants of arrest against them.
The Magistrate however declined to issue any orders, and instead referred the matter to the High Court.
He said the Court lacked jurisdiction over the case.
