Mombasa tycoon Twahir Sheikh Said has passed away.

The businessman, popularly known as TSS, died on Tuesday at the Milpark hospital in South Africa while undergoing treatment.

Addressing journalists at their Kizingo home in Mombasa, his first born son Mohammed Said, said "the family received the news this morning from my brothers who had accompanied TSS to the hospital where he had gone two weeks ago."

“We are still in communication with our brothers and we will see if the body arrives today then the burial will be done tomorrow (Wednesday) but if there is a delay, then we will do it on Thursday,” said Mohammed, as quoted by the Nation.

Said will be laid to rest at Sarigoi Muslim Cemetery.
