Police in Kisauni have said the murder of businessman Albesh Shah could have been linked to business rivalry.
Mr Shah was killed on Friday outside his home in Nyali, as he waited for his guard to open the gate.
Addressing journalists on Sunday, Kisauni OCPD Walter Obondo, said police were still carrying out their investigations, adding that so far no suspect has been arrested.
"We have not arrested anyone but the incident is still under investigation. We are still gathering information about the shooting," said Obondo.
"We have established it was an AK47 rifle that was used to carry out the attack, from the bases on the cartridges we collected from the scene," he added.
It is reported that the tycoon, who owns a polythene bags company which is located on Langoni Rd, Old Town, was being trailed from work.
Mr Shah was shot three times and succumbed to the injuries at Pandya Hospital.
