The Mombasa County government has launched a road map that will see businesses thrive in the Coastal county.

Deputy Governor Dr William Kingi on Sunday said consultative meetings will be held with key business stakeholders to jack trade in the region that wholly thrives on tourism.

He spoke after chairing a County Integrated Development Plan (CIDP) consultative meeting with business stakeholders to capture their input on the CIDP.

"The County Integrated Development Plan will offer a clear road map to the realisation of our development agenda. We value the feedback from our business community which is the engine of our economic growth," Dr Kingi said.

"We shall incorporate the views and suggestions from the business community in our plan as we endeavor to improve the business climate in our county."

He encouraged investors both domestic and foreign to invest in the county that hosts Mombasa, Kenya's second largest city after the capital Nairobi.
