An Upbeat Shujaa sevens has come up to make a memorable day two at the Sydney sevens with two wins, recovering from a 7-5 loss to Argentina to progress to the quarter finals.
Shujaa sevens won against France 17-14 and wrap it up with a 26-12 victory over Wales.
A spirited Kenya came from behind to trounce France in the earlier match giving them hopes of more light in the tournament.
Kenya had trailed 12-14 with just seconds to go but Dan Sikuta counter-rucked and quickly charged to ground a try. Kenya missed all its conversions and scored three tries and a penalty.
A dominant Kenyan side grounded 3 tries in the first half against Wales which was missing tackles.
Wales tried to recover in the second half however Kenya was strong enough not to concede much. Argentina beat France making Kenya cement their position in second place.
Shujaa sevens will now face South African springboks on Sunday 3:50am EAT in the quarter finals in an all African affair. Shujaa are at a poor 13th place which they acquired after trouncing Uganda in the Capetown leg.
