Veteran Midfielder Osborne Monday has joined Kenya Premier League (KPL) side Posta Rangers.

Monday joins the Sammy ‘Pamzo’ Omollo coached side on a two year contract deal from KPL rivals Kariobangi Sharks.

Coach Omollo has confirmed acquiring the players’ services, as reported by Soka.co.ke.

“He is a ball player, a leader and his experience will be very key for us; he brings to the team a combination of qualities which I think we missed last year,” Omollo is quoted by Soka.cok.ke.

“Personally, I have been a keen admirer of Monday; he is the player who can walk into any team’s first eleven but then there is also another aspect about him coming here – we have young players who need guidance and Monday fits the bill,” said the former Mahakama and Tusker FC coach.

Osborne Monday joins Rangers a few days after Calvin Odongo also joined the mailmen from Kariobangi Sharks.

Monday’s plate is full of experience after featuring for Mathare United, Tusker FC in two different times and Sofapaka in the past. He is also played for Tanzania’s Azam FC and Al-Shabab Sports Club in Oman.

Other players signed by Posta Rangers so far are: Suleiman Ngotho from Thika United, Marcellus Ingotsi from AFC Leopards, Danson Kago formerly of Tusker FC, Peter Ng'ang'a from Nakuru All Stars and  Kennedy Onyango from Nakumatt FC.

The team is beefing up its squad ahead of 2018 KPL season set to kick off early next month.
