According to Mong'are, it is not yet time for the Gusii people to decide which political coalition they should align themselves with prior to the next general election.

The lawmaker stated that there are a lot of things to be accomplished before choosing a coalition to join.

In a phone interview with this writer, the senator said that a declaration of all Gusii people will be made in December where a choice will made to either join Jubilee or Cord.

"If we must belong to CORD then the coalition must have fought corruption in its strong 23 counties and if it's jubilee then it should as well accomplish all the promises it made to Gusii people by December," said Mong'are.

During the Wednesday interview, Mong'are said that the legislator said that he won't allow misleading leaders to ditch Gusii people.

"I ask the like minded leaders to come together as we monitor the progress of the two coalitions and when it reaches December we give a direction to our electorate who chose us for better leadership. Why do this leaders want to mislead our people in the name of Gusii unity, where did they sit and agreed to put us together?" posed Mong'are.

Mong'are sentiments comes at a time when several leaders drawn from the Gusii community have pushing for unity under the Jubilee Party.
