Nyamira Senator Kennedy Mong'are Okong'o has expressed his discontent with the Jubilee administration saying it has sidelined Gusii region in terms of leadership.
Mong'are who spoke to this writer on the phone said the government hasn't given the region its rightful share in spite of the support it gets.
"Since independence Gusii has never been humiliated this way. We have been well represented in the government. Apart from Education CS Fred Matiang'i, who else from Gusii region has this government appointed as a minister? posed Mong'are on Friday.
He said the region was well recognised in the past regimes by former ministers such as George Sagini, James Nyamweya, Zachary Onyonka, John Omanga and the rest and thus asked the Uhuru regime to follow suit or else lose the region's support.
"For instance, in the Narc government we had three Cabinet ministers and several assistant ministers and when we realise that Jubilee government is mocking us this way then as leaders from Gusii are unhappy with his leadership," said Mong'are.
