Former Kenya’s Vice President Moody Awori on Thursday, endorsed the unity pact signed between President Uhuru Kenyatta and Opposition Leader Raila Odinga.
Speaking in Kisumu when he paid Governor Anyang' Nyong'o a courtesy call, Awori noted that the Uhuru-Raila handshake will benefit the Kenyan people.
The former Vice President further noted that the handshake was key in revamping the country’s economy.
He praised Governor Nyong'o for the good work he has done just seven months after assuming office.
“I am in support of Uhuru-Raila handshake and the handshake should benefit the country’s economy,” he said.
He credited Nyong'o for being part for being part of the team that raised Kenya’s economy from zero to seventy per cent in 2002, making him the best bet to make Kisumu City great again.
Governor Nyong'o on his part, noted that the two share a lot in common having served together for a long time in the national government.
