Speaking on Wednesday in Tangoreni, Bungoma County, Wangamati wanted the two luhya NASA co-principals to focus on uniting the 'mulembe' Luhya people than supporting Raila Odinga every time.

"Let us as Luhyas, first put our house in order. Luhya unity is the way to go. We can't just be swayed right, left and centre yet as a community we can chat our own destination, it's time to make a bold steps," said Wangamati.

Wanagamati who defeated Speaker of the Senate, Mr. Kenneth Lusaka to clinch the gubernatorial post in Bungoma county under NASA coalition, has urged Wetangula and Mudavadi to realize that without NASA they can still move ahead and succeed politically.

"We are the second largest community in the country and have got great leaders who can lead us politically to the top not just following somebody us if he holds our future. Let Wetang'ula and Mudavadi unite all Luhyas so that we can see what to do in future," added Wangamati.
