More celebrations continue to rock the lakeside city of Kisumu as teachers, parents and students continue to celebrate KCPE results that were announced on Monday.
At Living Streams Academy, located at Deliverance Church at Car wash, it was joy after the school managed to produce a student with 401 marks.
Ian Anduati got 401 marks, the highest to be registered by the school since it started sitting for KCPE exams six years ago.
The 14 year-old boy whose dream is to become an engineer would like to join Maseno High School, and owed his success to the school management.
“I want to thank my teachers and parents for encouragement and support to enable me get these good marks,” he said.
His mother, Clea Anduati was elated for his son’s achievement, and praised the school management for the good work.
“Hard work pays and my son was out to get this good mark, I am humbled for the teachers for the hard work,” she said.
The school chairman Otieno Omwalo said the school performed well and promised to do better next year, while the school head teacher Hezron Oluoch noted that all his 23 candidates passed their examinations, with the lowest scoring 263 marks.
“The pass mark is 250, and here, my last student has scored above that. I am very proud of the 2014 class,” said Oluoch.
