Vapor FC and Kangemi Patriots were served with ‘the best coaching’ skills when they got the chance to learn from Hull City coaches.
The two Nairobi-based clubs were given some lessons during a clinic conducted by Hull City coaches on Tuesday morning in Nairobi.
The clinic was part of the flurry of activities to engage with the community as the Tigers continue their maiden tour of Kenya.
Hull beat Gor on Sunday 4-3 on post-match penalties, after settling for a 0-0 draw in regular time.
First-team coach Tony Pennock, Goalkeeping coach Barry Richardson and Physiotherapist Alan Peachum led the clinic at the Hope Centre in Kawangware.
“It’s fantastic that we got the chance to train such a bunch of great players this morning.
“This is such a fulfilling initiative and we are proud to be a part of it, giving back to the society is very important and I hope the players have gained something from it,” Pennock said when he spoke to Sportpesa News.
The coaches were amazed by the reception they got to in the country and said it will not be the last time they visit the country.
“The entire visit to Kenya has been full of surprises, from the packed stadium on Sunday to this morning’s session that was amazing.
“It’s such a great feeling to see your knowledge being appreciated by people from the community,” goalkeeping coach Robertson added.
