Despite Jubilee party's efforts to arbitrate on sharp differences over nominations t East African Legislative Assembly, more cracks have emerged with Nyamira County accusing party leadership of shortchanging them.
North Mugirango MP Joash Nyamoko now demands explanation from President Uhuru Kenyatta's party over aborted MoU with Nyamira leaders.
"Before elections, we agreed that the party nominates Charles Mochama who had dropped his gubernatorial bid," Nyamoko, who also served as County Speaker lamented.
An intense meeting chaired by Deputy President early this year, had persuaded Mochama to drop his bid in favour of Walter Nyambati on agreement that he gets an EALA appointment.
But the final nomination list settled by Jubilee party only listed former CIC chair Charles Nyachae from the larger Gusii region to Arusha based assembly.
"It is very clear that we were not regarded. They should have nominated candidates from Nyamira even for Public Relations," he said.
In the final list of 15, both Nyachae and former news anchor in Royal Media, Doris Aburi, were shortlisted even though they come from neighboring Kisii County.
Advocate Charles Ongoto, Charles Mochama and former EALA MP Joseph Kiangoi had all applied for consideration from Nyamira.
