Despite ongoing plans to swear Raila Odinga as People's president, a section of NASA coalition leadership are reportedly against the exercise, reports the Sunday Nation.

Already, a defiant Raila insists the exercise, whose venue will be revealed on Sunday, will go on as planned.

"We have put everything in place and on Sunday we shall let you know the venue," said Noah Akala.

But an NASA adviser who spoke to Sunday Nation in confidence says top leadership of the coalition is divided over the matter.

According to the official, those opposing the move are concerned about Raila's international reputation which they claim may be ruined.

"People are angry and Raila must fight for them. However, we must fight for him and not spill everything he has achieved over years and we must provide him most radical options in his quest for electoral justice,' said the adviser.

Also, similar view is held by Koigi Wa Wamwere, one of the few democracy champion who cautions Raila about the plan.

"He should listen to all parties so that we do not make a blunder. That is very important," he said.

Efforts to dissuade Raila about the inauguration have hit a snag with radical politicians in NASA vowing to go ahead with the plans.
