It has now emerged that the Al-Shabaab attackers in Garissa's neighboring Mandera County Chopped off heads of the six victims killed in the Thursday attack.
According to a resident teacher who lives at the Bulla public works residential area, non-locals were mercilessly gunned down and their heads chopped and smashed by grenades. The teacher further issued the events of the attack were too traumatizing to explain.
"Explaining it is too traumatizing and I do not know how to put it better. Personally, I am psychologically bullied. The assailants gunned down non-locals and mercilessly chopped their heads and hands before smashing them with grenades," The visibly disturbed local disclosed.
Residents revealed that the terrorists struck the plot that accommodated about 33 non-locals at around 2am in the morning.
Al Shabaab assailants have since claimed responsibility over the attack near the border county.
"We are responsible for the Mandera Thursday attack in which we massacred at least six Christians," Sheikh Abdiasis, who is the terrorist's spokesman told Reuters.
