ODM nominations in Kakamega, Narok and Turkana were delayed on Saturday after hitches with membership registers.
This arose after members were turned away from participating in the primaries on account that their names were not in the registers.
According to the Star, the exercise which was scheduled to begin at 8am was delayed and by 11am, the polling stations were yet to receive the registers.
Lurambi MP Raphael Otaalo expressed his disappointment with the way the whole exercise was conducted and added that there was a 'hidden agenda' in the anomalies.
He added that some of the returning officers had gone away from the stations and left the ballot papers unattended.
The situation was no better in Samburu where member registers for 24 stations were said to be missing.
A returning officer was forced to print the register from a cyber cafe after hundreds of voters went stranded.
"The 40 polling stations have been merged into two," Star reports, adding that one merged 25 stations while the other had 15.
