Sportpesa CEO Ronald Karauri and Tuskys CEO Dan Githua treated Harambee Stars to a special luncheon.
The event was hosted by Football Kenya Chairman Nick Mwendwa on Monday at a Nairobi Hotel.
The team was awarded gift vouchers worth 10,000 shillings each by Tuskys CEO Dan Githua while Sportpesa CEO honoured a pledge of 3 Million shillings as prize money for the team’s victory in CECAFA.
The national team defeated Zanzibar in a match decided on penalties after a dramatic 2-2 draw during normal playing time.
Karauri hailed the team’s display after winning the trophy unbeaten and pledged to support the team in future.
“We are very proud of Harambee Stars win. For as long as we can, we will keep supporting Kenyan football,” said Karauri as quoted by Football Kenya website.
Githua on his part called sponsors to offer more support to the national football team saying through it national cohesion can easily be achieved.
Kenya last won CECAFA Cup in 2013 at the Nyayo National Stadium after a 2-0 win over Sudan.
The 2017 edition was once again held in Kenya with matches played in Kisumu, Kakamega and Machakos stadiums.
