With the immediate question of who the flag bearer of the coalition will be and how he will be appointed, Cord continues to experience more internal differences.
But the differences have been heightened recently by the incoming of former deputy prime minister and Amani National Congress leader Musalia Mudavadi as critics speculate a possible alteration to the flagbearer and running mate position.
ODM leader Raila Odinga and Wiper counterpart Kalonzo Musyoka have already disagreed on the deadlines of selecting the flagbearer with Musyoka giving a December deadline.
Odinga however prefers an April nomination for the flagbearer, something the Wiper leadership says will be too much delay.
It is perhaps because of these conditions that Odinga is seen to be wooing leaders from other parties to form a new alliance that will lock out Musyoka and even Ford Kenya leader Moses Wetangula.
