Tuskys Supermarket is expected to continue its dominance in the retail stores industry with plans to open a new branch in Nakuru town later this year still ongoing.
The second supermarket in Kenya by revenue plans to offer more employment opportunities to Nakuru residents as well as great shopping experiences once the new branch is opened.
Tuskys chairman John Kago who addressed journalists on Friday, announced that the new general store will be located at the Imani Mall on the busy Nakuru-Eldoret highway, and that the store would aim to offer convenient shopping to customers on transit.
The medium sized mall was opened on Friday, and tenants other than Tuskys Supermarket, have already occupied their respective business premises.
The new Tuskys branch will be the fourth in Nakuru town, with two others already situated at the heart of the town and a third one on the Nakuru-Nairobi highway.
Besides the new branch in Nakuru, Tuskys are already in a massive expansion plan as a new deal to open retail stores in Shell branded fuel stations has already been sealed.
Tuskys are also a known big employer of local youths and women in the country, and have so far employed more than 500 employees in their countrywide retail stores.
The supermarket chain is also not new to opening malls along busy highways.
They own Buffalo mall in Naivasha, Oltalet mall in Narok and an upcoming mall in Juja, Kiambu County.
