Days after a section of North Rift Jubilee grassroots leaders called for President Uhuru Kenyatta's impeachment, more leaders from Gusii have joined the bandwagon.
Despite constituting his cabinet on Friday, Jubilee leaders from Nyamira have questioned the component of his team, arguing that it was a scheme to reward certain ethnic community.
"Uhuru has blatantly shown that he is interested in overburdening Kenyans by creating unconstitutional offices," said Jared Ombati, who spoke on behalf of Nyansiongo chapter.
He added: "He only rewarded certain ethnic community and some political rejects. As Nyamira people, we have been totally left out. We urge MPs to revisit and even fire him."
Similar dissatisfaction were aired by North Mugirango MP Joash Nyamoko, who accused the President of short changing Nyamira County.
"We vigorously campaigned for Uhuru but as a county, we totally got nothing. It is really sad that we can be shortchanged," said the Jubilee MP.
