A day after a section of Jubilee leaders called for Miguna Miguna's release, police are under pressure to avail him in court or release him.
At Milimani law courts, Justice Luka Kimaru demanded that IG Joseph Boinet and DCI George Kinoti to appear in court with Miguna 'whether dead or alive'.
"I order that the IG and DCI appear personally in this court on Wednesday with the applicant whether alive or dead," he ordered.
Miguna, a Canadian based lawyer was arrested on Thursday and he is yet to be availed in court despite an existing court order.
On AM Live Show, Kiambu Senator Kimani Wamatang'i called for urgent intervention adding that Miguna's rights should be respected.
"I may not not agree with Miguna but he should be availed in court or he should be released by the police."
Similar sentiments were echoed by Kericho Senator Aaron Cheruiyot who said: "His rights should not be disrespected just because of his political stand. He should be released."
Among issues Miguna is accused include administering of presidential oath to Raila Odinga against the government's wishes.
In Kisii on Monday, Ex-North Mugirango MP Joseph Kiangoi termed Miguna's arrest as 'unconstitutional'.
