Nandi senator Samson Cheragei is the latest leader to raise concerns after the handshake.

According to the lawmaker, Raila should not be trusted.

He said they welcome the handshake but are careful as Raila is known for playing dangerous tricks, saying that they are aware of how he brought down KANU when he joined former president Daniel Moi.

“As Jubilee we are very careful, when he comes to the house. Because he’s a very…he’s a dangerous character. In 2002, he destroyed KANU,” said  Cheragei.

Last week, Kiambu governor Ferdinand Waititu also raised concerns over Raila's intentions.

He said that Raila might be used to scuttle DP Ruto's presidential ambitions in 2022.
