Speaking on Wednesday, Sakaja said that Orengo was the best replacement for Wetangula.

"I have a lot of respect for both senior counsel Orengo and Senator Wetangula. We (senators) are looking for a more respectful engagement. There are times Wetangula would be abrasive when it was not necessary," said Sakaja while appearing on the JKL show.

According to Sakaja, with Orengo, the debates will be conducted in a sober manner.

"There will be a soberer and more amiable environment with Orengo due to how he has conducted himself over the years," added Sakaja.

He further faulted ODM on the manner it handled the whole issue. He said that the opposition party would have sorted the whole issue internally without creating drama around it.

NASA leader Raila Odinga is set to chair a meeting of opposition senators today (Thursday), intended to reverse the ouster of Wetangula.
