Kapenguria Member of Parliament Samwel Moroto has become the latest Jubilee legislator to water down the agreement between President Uhuru Kenyatta and NASA leader Raila Odinga
The MP, becomes the latest in a long list of Jubilee MPs to say the agreement that was made on March 9 could break the ruling coalition.
Speaking during Chesumei sub-county educational day at Chemundu, Moroto claimed that Odinga has in the past betrayed agreements he made, and that he should not be trusted.
Other Jubilee leaders including Kithure Kindiki have come out to air similar sentiments.
According to the leaders, Odinga cannot be trusted, and that he might use the ‘blank cheque’ he got from Harambee House to distabilise Jubilee.
They have however insisted that the agreement between the two leaders should include Odinga supporting William Ruto for the top seat in 2022.
However, there is talk in the rulling coalition that Odinga’s presence will hurt Ruto’s chances of ascending to statehouse in 2022.
Speaking at the same event, Nandi senator Samson Cherargei said that Odinga’s choice to work with government should be nothing short of supporting William Ruto’s presidential bid come 2022.
