Even after her unprecedented exit from electoral body IEBC, a section of leaders now want ex-commissioner Roselyn Akombe recalled to the institution.
For months now, the commission has been in shambles, with internal wrangles culminating into resignation of three more commissioners on Monday.
And Borabu MP Ben Momanyi says Akombe's integrity and honesty can be rewarded if leaders recall her back to the country to head the commission.
"If you ask me what changes we need, it is all about recalling Akombe. She is a true definition of integrity and transparency," he said.
ODM treasurer Timothy Bosire said the country owes Akombe a lot for hinting the rot within the commission before fleeing to US.
"She is allergic to impunity and these are the kind of people we need for an independent commission to work," he said.
Before the October repeat polls, Akombe resigned after fleeing the country in what she termed as 'external interference' in the commission.
Following the resignation of three commissioners, chairman Wafula Chebukati is under pressure to also call it quits.
