More leaders have continued to heap praises to opposition leader Raila Odinga's decision to work with President Uhuru Kenyatta, even after a section of ODM leaders asked the former to rescind his decision.
At several stopovers in Nyamira on Sunday, area Governor John Nyagarama said the move was perfect for the country.
"I am challenging our President Uhuru Kenyatta and and Raila Odinga to consider Nyamira as their first destination in the unity campaigns," said Nyagarama.
On his part, senator Sam Ongeri urged Kenyans to reconcile following a protracted electioneering period that saw over 100 people lose their lives.
They slammed leaders opposing the unity deal, adding that they will work closely with the government to deliver on its agenda.
"Time for politics is over and we are now focusing greater things. Let us support the two leaders for prosperity," Ongeri said.
Also present were Nyamira Women Rep Jerusha Momanyi, Borabu MP Ben Momanyi, Senator Okong'o Mogeni and a host of MCAs from Nyamira County.
