Slightly two days after President Uhuru Kenyatta and his political nemesis Raila Odinga brokered a surprise peace deal, more leaders have opened up about the turn out of events.
So secretive was the deal that even Raila's co-principals Moses Wetangula, Musalia Mudavadi and Kalonzo Musyoka have been crying foul.
And several leaders from Gusii region have joined the bandwagon of praising the two protagonists with some calling for more focus on development.
"I want to thank the two for meeting. We must now focus on initiating various reforms that are pending to avert fallout in future," said ODM Vice Chair Janet Ong'era.
Kitutu Masaba MP Shadrack Mose said: "The deal is an eye opener that Kenya is bigger than any individual. We have to work together as a team."
Similar calls were made by Nyamira Senator Okong'o Mogeni who urged the two principals to iron out key issues that emanated during the hotly contested 2017 race.
Others who have backed the deal include: Ben Momanyi (Borabu), Sylvanus Osoro (South Mugirango), Governors John Nyagarama (Nyamira) and James Ongwae of Kisii.
