ODM leaders in Nairobi have supported the move by NASA leader Raila Odinga, after he put aside his differences with President Uhuru Kenyatta.
The two shocked many last week, when they met at Kenyatta’s Harambee office, putting aside their differences.
“We offer support for our party leader and all they have done to foster unity and inclusivity to all Kenyans. Kenya is greater than our ambitions than any one single of us, we cannot let Kenya go,” said one of the leaders when they addressed the media in Nairobi.
“Let the other NASA Co-principals lead by example and join other Kenyans. They must know that one cannot escape the responsibility of tomorrow by evading it today,” he added.
The agreement between Kenyatta and Odinga has been received by mixed reactions, with leaders in the Jubilee government lauding the two leaders.
However, the move seems to have angered some leaders and supporters of the NASA coalition, who felt their agenda, had not been addressed.
The leaders, including co-principals Musalia Mudavadi, Moses Wetangula and Kalonzo Musyoka accused Odinga of being selfish, and putting his interests first.
