Wambua says they are not taking the matter lightly as a Kamba community.

Speaking to journalists at Parliament Buildings in Nairobi on Tuesday, Wambua asked the police to swiftly probe the song and arrest those behind it.

“As Kamba leaders, we are not going to take up the matter lightly should relevant agencies fail to take action on the people behind the mockery song,” Wambua said.

Wambua asked Kamba locals to remain calm as the police probe the controversial song.

Kitui Women Representative Irene Kasalu termed the ‘Ikamba’ song as mockery of the highest order.

Speaking in Kitui Town on Tuesday, Kasalu claimed that the song was allegedly  authored to intimidate Governor Charity  Ngilu who is strictly enforcing  charcoal ban.

“We want to see the artists being taken to court because such kind of mockery should not be condoned at all,” Kasalu said.

Kasalu said conflicts start  with such issues if taken lightly.

Kangundo MP Fabian Muli also condemned the song terming it incitement of the highest order.

Muli asked the police and NCIC to urgently take action against artists.

Speaking to journalists on the sidelines of the National Assembly post-election seminar in Mombasa, the MP said Kenyans must co-exist peacefully despite their different political ideologies.

The controversial song that the Kenya Film Classification Board has already banned continues to draw criticism among Kenyans and leaders.

On Monday, Makueni senator Mutula Kilonzo Junior wrote to the NCIC and ODPP demanding for action.
