President Uhuru Kenyatta's alleged plot to 'fix' the judiciery has continued to be subjected to criticism following the ongoing changes within the judiciary.
Last week, a section of Jubilee leaders from Gusii region warned the president against intefering with the operations of the third arm of government.
"The president must come out and warn those of us in Jubilee against threatening the CJ if he wants to vindicate himself," said Kitutu Masaba's Shadrack Mose.
And more leaders from Gusii have threatened to take unspecified measures should the axe befell Chief Justice David Maraga, who hails from Nyamira.
"If he (Uhuru) wants to intimidate Maraga, let him go ahead. As leaders, we will however to sit and see that happening," said Victor Swanya, Wiper National Vice Chair.
Ex-Kitutu Masaba MP Timothy Bosire said on Thursday: "We are aware of their dirty plans to control the judiciary but that will be met with resistance."
According to the Sunday Nation, the Head of State is keen to take control over JSC with AG nominee Kihara Kariuki reportedly influencing appointment of his replacement in appeals court.
While removal of Maraga is not a walk on the park, a Jubilee controlled JSC can easily dethrone him even over flimsy grounds.
