ODM leaders from Nyamira have come to the defense of ousted leader of Raila's daughters lobby group days after High Court revoked her nomination to the assembly.
A fortnight ago, a lower court in Nyamira had instructed area county assembly clerk to swear Ms Irene Nyakerario only for high court to revoke the decision, days after taking oath.
But in contrast, a section of ODM leader have accused the petitioner, Damaris Mouni, who the court established that had irregularly been nominated of sabotage.
"The party has already issued a stand that it nominated Irene and not the imposter. Time has come for the rule of law to be respected," said Dennis Marube, ODM League Chairman.
Another party activist Beavon Magare said: "It is shameful for an ageing granny to shortchange a youth. We shall stand firm until justice prevails."
While ODM rejects knowledge about Mouni's nomination, she has however represented the party's interests for almost six months.
According to multiple sources, Ms Mouni forced her way to the ODM list through her son, Gekara Mouni, who worked as IEBC chair Wafula Chebukati's PA.
