Chae accused the leaders of pushing their own interests in State House by hiding under the mantle of Omogusii unity.

“I am really shocked that some sellouts can hide in the name of Omogusii unity to solicit for favours from State House. They are not representing the interests of our people and should be ignored like a plague,” she said during a recent interview with Egesa FM.

She dismissed those purporting that the unity will push for development in the area.

“The constitution gives the President an obligation to develop all regions without discrimination. It doesn’t make sense when people go around claiming to be pushing for development by visiting State House while in real sense they are plotting getting leadership," said Chae.

She however affirmed that the Omogusii unity could thrive if only all leaders and state holders are involved in talks before a decision is made.

“We can only accept the unity where all leaders are involved, political rights respected and Sate Holders involved. Otherwise we cannot allow sellouts to mislead the community,” she said.

A section of leaders led by Kisii Senator Chris Obure have been pushing for the unity of Abagusi community, a move that has met resistance from key leaders among them Governor, John Nyangarama, James Ongwae and Kitutu Masaba MP Timothy Bosire.
